As of May 1, 2018, all bid protests at the Government Accountability Office (GAO) must be filed online on GAO’s Electronic Protest Docketing System (EPDS) (with the exception of protests involving security classified information) with a filing fee of $350 (even those filing without an attorney). Be aware that unauthorized or improper use of the EPDS may result in disciplinary action, as well as civil and criminal penalties. Protest filers also have no reasonable expectation of privacy regarding any communications or data transiting or stored on the EPDS, so ensure that personal information such as social security numbers, dates of birth and financial information not be included. Registration and use of the EPDS provides the GAO your irrevocable consent, so be aware and be careful.
